Have I mentioned how much I love bread & Butter’s casual chic dress code? Probably, but I’ll say it again anyways. I refreshed and revamped my professional wardrobe before the move to Austin, but I couldn’t be more thrilled to not need it. Being able to look and feel like myself in my work environment is such a plus! (Also, can we just appreciate how perfectly my Apple Watch matches this #OOTD? I’m in love!)

Another reason I love my internship? It’s pet friendly! It seems like almost every day I have a furry friend to keep me company. Most recently, it was my mentor Mandy’s kitten, Napoleon! Not to be dramatic, but I would die for him.

I love this internship for so much more than just the dress code. I feel like I’m learning so much and really making a difference in this office! Can’t wait to see how far I’ve come by the end of the summer.

Like an Oreo

It was super rainy this morning, but luckily I made it to my first class before the rain started! I didn’t feel like wearing rain boots since it was going to be so humid, so I opted for leather sneakers instead. I figured that as long as I timed the rain showers right, they would at least help my feet navigate the puddles and make it through relatively unscathed.

I love my overalls; they’re transitioning into the warmer months pretty easily! This is my first time pairing them with a short-sleeve shirt and I love the way this look came together, although the complete black and white combo did have me feeling vaguely like an Oreo cookie.

This will probably be the last super busy week of my semester, and I’m really excited! I can’t wait for the semester to be over. I love my classes, but sometimes enough is enough. I’m feeling ready to move onto next semester.

Flight of the Bumblebee

It was marginally warmer today, so I actually got to wear something cute instead of just dressing to stay warm! Yesterday morning Norman was blessed with wind chills of -6, so I had to temporarily forego fashion and focus on avoiding frostbite. Luckily, today was back in the 40s so an average amount of layers was appropriate!

I love my overalls because of how diverse they are. I’ve shown an outfit with them on the blog before, but this one has a completely different vibe just from the color and style of the shirt. I’m frequently told I look like a minion or a bumblebee when I wear this yellow/black combination!

Pre-K Days

Some days, I look back and appreciate the cute outfits my mom put me in when I was younger. I see what I was wearing then, and realize that it’s actually not that different from what I would wear today. And that got me thinking… what if I took some of my favorite outfits from when I was younger, and recreated them with an adult twist?

Today’s #OOTD is a recreation of my Pre-K school photo. I actually didn’t have to do any shopping for this one- I already had the shirt and overall dress in my closet. I borrowed the blue scrunchie from my roomie in place of the classic blue bow.

I had so much fun recreating this iconic look from my past, and I can’t wait to recreate more in the future! Keep checking back to see more then-and-now outfit modernizations!

Overall, A Good Day

Today is shaping up to be a pretty good day. Even though we didn’t get another day off from school due to the ice storm, it is supposed to be a little warmer today, which is always welcome. Tonight is Bachelor Night for me and my friends (if you’ve already seen week 7, no spoilers please!) and that alone makes Wednesday one of my favorite days of the week. No matter how my day is going, there is nothing that boxed wine and Colton Underwood can’t fix.

I got these overalls for Christmas and I’m obsessed with them. I love them paired with a sweater or turtleneck, but I’m excited for consistently warmer weather so I can try them out with some t-shirts as well.
