Last night I got to have the amazing experience of seeing Jess Glynne live in concert! She’s been my favorite artist for about a year now, so I was super excited when my mom bought me these tickets for Christmas.

It was at The Bomb Factory in Deep Ellum. I had never been before, but it was a really cool venue! I didn’t realize it was a bar as well, and that made me really glad that I brought my ID along. I got an alcoholic cucumber lemonade, and if you’re wondering what that tastes like, it’s exactly what you would imagine- cucumber, lemonade, and vodka. It sounds a little weird, but it was so good!

I went to the concert with my mom and we had a great time! There was a little bit of a wait between the opening act and when Jess came out, but since I had my drink it was still a good time. I had never been to a concert where it was all general admission, so that was an experience! I’m used to having my assigned seat at a venue, so having to defend my standing space so I could continue to see the stage was kind of a lot. I think I did pretty good job, though!

By the time Jess Glynne came out on stage, I was ready. The show was so good- she sounds exactly the same live as she does on her albums! I got to hear all my old favorites and some new releases as well. I’m so glad I got the experience of seeing my favorite artist in concert at a fairly small venue, it was such a great night!
